New digital video walls will soon dominate the landscape of Billund Airport/Denmark, as a result of a new collaboration between Mermaid and AFA JCDecaux. Bestseller, the global fashion company, will become the first to use these new digital opportunities.
From early 2012, Denmark’s second largest airport in Billund will change its visual setting, as large digital video walls will start to dominate the indoor landscape of the airport. Two specialists within signage communication, Mermaid and AFA JCDecaux, have joined forces for this project. Using Munich Airport as a role model, the objective has been to establish a progressive digital communication platform, and create the ideal venue for companies’ branding messages to take flight in an international setting.
AFA JCDecaux, the number one outdoor advertising company in the world, is the licensee for all indoor and outdoor signage in Billund Airport. The company is an experienced developer and operator of advertising displays in airports. However, joining forces with Mermaid extends AFA JCDecaux’s engagement in Billund Airport to include digital signage solutions as well.
Mermaid’s digital signage solution will replace the first static advertising displays of AFA JCDecaux during early 2012. Dynamic content can thereby easily be created and updated, and will enhance the airport experience for travellers.
The agreement signed defines Mermaid as the integrator and operator of the platform
