Establishing Digital Signage and Digital-out-of-Home successfully on the market and preparing the floor for a dynamic and fast growing industry – these are the goals of the associations OVAB Europe and IG adscreen. With a bilateral cooperation agreement they will now work together.
On Wednesday the European Digital Signage- and Digital-out-of-Home-industry association OVAB Europe and the Swiss association IG adscreen lay the groundwork for a successful bilateral cooperation. In the Swiss town of Küsnacht near Zurich the cooperation agreement was signed during a strategy workshop. In the future OVAB and IG adscreen will team up and provide expert discussions like standardisation, research and events. The aim of the cooperation is to concentrate the effort of further professionalising the industry.
“A lively Digital Signage / Digital out of Home industry is reliant on its members’ abilities and their willingness to address issues relating to industry and sector policy, monitor processes in the industry, get involved in them and assume joint responsibility. In a world characterized by growing international ties, there is a growing need to address questions of international cooperation, in particular in relation to technology and marketing matters,“ explains Christian Vaglio-Giors president of IG adscreen. “Therefore we are delighted to cooperate with OVAB Europe to further push the industry and improve business.”
OVAB Europe: a strong partnership brings improvement
“For us as an European industry association the cooperation with IG adscreen is a major milestone. A strong partner network is very important for the advancement of our standards and other relevant themes for the Digital Signage industry. In the past we have already cooperated successfully with IG adscreen in the polling of the DBCI and we are looking forward to more joint projects”, commented Markus Deserno treasurer of OVAB Europe.
First measures are finalised – Switzerland is only the beginning
First joint activities will be discussed during the next months and presented at the Digital Signage Conference Munich on the 18th of September 2013. The cooperation between OVAB Europe and IG adscreen is the beginning of a series of bilateral agreements with other European associations.
